Working with Primary Goal (PG) and the Microsoft UK Education team, TA has aligned the funded Digital Champion training programme with the MIE Expert accreditation.

This development presents a unique opportunity for any UK school to upskill individuals who can drive digital transformation in your school or college.

Each Champion receives support and training from industry experts over a two-year journey focusing on embedding the use of new and existing technologies to enhance teaching and learning.

Who is this programme for?

Outcomes you can expect

For the individual

  • Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert accreditation.
  • Level 3 Digital Support (Applications) Technician Apprenticeship Standard
  • Tablet Academy certificate in Edtech strategy and/or Technology-enhanced teaching.
  • Portfolio of evidence demonstrating outcomes achieved during the programme.
  • Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) – optional.

For the school

  • A dedicated Digital Champion to lead or support digital transformation.
  • Input and support from a range of industry experts to develop and deploy a digital strategy.
  • Quality free CPD for staff enrolled and the colleagues they upskill as part of their programme.
  • Support to apply for Microsoft Showcase School status – optional.
  • Recoup finances lost to the Apprenticeship Levy.
How much does the programme cost?

£13,000 It's all funded!

The MIE expert Digital Champion programme is delivered to the Level 3 Digital Support (Applications) Technician apprenticeship standard as a 2 year programme, meaning all the training involved can be funded through your existing Apprenticeship Levy Contribution or via a Levy transfer arranged by Primary Goal.
