Pedagogical Training

Pedagogical Training

This programme is designed for educators who have already mastered the day-to-day use of technology and are ready to explore a more important question:

Certificate in Technology Enhanced Teaching (CTET)

Moving Beyond Digital Competence to Digital Craft

Most professional development programmes focus on helping educators learn how to use technology. CTET is different. This programme is designed for educators who have already mastered the day-to-day use of technology and are ready to explore a more important question:

The Certificate in Technology Enhanced Teaching (CTET) focuses on pedagogy first, technology second. It helps educators develop the knowledge, confidence, and strategic thinking needed to use technology intentionally to improve engagement, critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world learning.

Achieve the best learning outcomes

The Craft of Teaching with Technology

At TA, we believe great teaching with technology is a craft. It is not defined by the number of tools a teacher can use, but by their ability to select and apply the right approaches to achieve the best learning outcomes.

The most effective educators move beyond digitising existing practice and begin to:

CTET is designed to help educators make that transition.

Learn how technology can support learning

What You Will Explore

The programme combines technology-enhanced learning with proven pedagogical approaches, helping educators explore how technology can support meaningful learning experiences.

Through practical workshops and classroom application, participants examine:

Every concept is explored through the lens of classroom practice, allowing participants to apply ideas directly within their own subject areas and teaching contexts.

Course Structure

Participants demonstrate how they have applied their learning to design or deliver technology-enhanced lessons and learning experiences.

The programme consists of:

Active and Engaged Learners

How can I use technology to increase student engagement?

Technology alone does not create engagement. In this module, participants explore how to design learning experiences that encourage students to discover, process, apply, and communicate their understanding through purposeful use of technology.

Participants will explore:

Building Knowledge, Ideas and Critical Thinking

How can technology help students think more deeply?

Technology can be a powerful tool for helping learners connect new ideas with prior knowledge, identify misconceptions, and develop critical thinking.

This module explores how educators can create student-centred learning environments that encourage analysis, evaluation, reflection, and knowledge-building. Participants will explore

Real-World Learning Contexts and Activities

How can I make learning more authentic and relevant?

Powerful learning happens when students understand why learning matters.

This module examines how technology can be used to connect learning to real-world contexts, future careers, current issues, and authentic problems worth solving. Participants will explore:

Collaborative Learning and Group Work

How can technology support effective collaboration?

Collaboration is an essential skill for life beyond school. This module explores how educators can use technology to create purposeful collaborative learning experiences that encourage communication, teamwork, creativity, and shared problem-solving.

Participants will explore:

Technology Enhanced Teaching in Practice

The final module brings together the programme's themes and focuses on implementation.

Participants reflect on their own practice and develop plans for embedding technology-

enhanced pedagogies within their classrooms, departments, or organisations. The emphasis is on sustainable change rather than isolated innovation.

Real-World Learning Contexts and Activities

Demonstrating Your Learning

To achieve CTET certification, participants complete an e-portfolio demonstrating how they have applied their learning in practice.

This evidence-based approach helps educators move beyond theory and develop a practical record of technology-enhanced teaching that can inform future professional growth.
