… to work as part of a dynamic team of like-minded individuals who are making a difference in the education of young people. If so… read on….
Tablet Academy is one of the UK´s leading providers of technology focused Teacher Training and student enrichment activities. Working closely with industry giants such as BT, Google, HP, Intel, Microsoft, and many others, our teams deliver training in Google G Suite, Microsoft Office365 and other software, as well as running exciting immersive activities on subjects from Aeronautical Engineering and Robotics, to Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence.
Due to company expansion we are looking a number of people to join us either as an employee or as freelance contractors in one of two roles, one as a Teacher Trainer to support us in the delivery of training in Office365, Google G Suite etc., the other in the role of Learning Support Assistant to work with students on delivering learning rich technology-based activities. You don’t have to have a qualification in Teaching but for those looking to apply for a Trainer role it would help if you understood the complexities of the UK education system and the challenges of classroom teaching. For those interested in the Learning Support role, having a good rapport with young people of all ages, a flair for using the latest technology, and being able to learn quickly is a must.
For both roles a good understanding of technology is of course essential, but the necessary training will be provided to successful applicants for both roles. Given both roles will have access to young people, full DBS checks will be carried out before any applicant can be offered either position.
Positions are available across the country and applicants will be expected to work from home with the occasional trip to the main office in Telford. Applicants must be willing and able to travel to venues with occasional overnight stays depending on the distance from home.
The roles would be ideal for tech savvy former teachers or IT Managers wishing to supplement their income on a freelance contract, or young people with an interest in supporting other young people in the use of technology. Our youngest Learning Support Assistant is under 23 and our oldest is over 55, as such age is not a barrier. However, give the nature of the work we suggest applicants be over 18.
So… do you think you have what it takes and are interested in giving it a shot? If so, complete the form below and someone will get back to you. We promise a response to EVERY application.
